Career Guidance Activity Report
Introduction
Don Bosco Vazhikaatti Career Guidance & Job Placement Centre in Trichy has been actively engaged in various initiatives to support career development, job placements, and vocational training. This report highlights the key activities undertaken between December 2024 and February 2025.
Career Guidance Programs
During this period, a total of four career guidance programs were conducted, benefiting 877 participants. These sessions aimed to provide insights into career options, skill development, and industry expectations. Job Placement Initiatives
Various job placement activities were organized, including job fairs, campus drives, and referral placements. Key statistics from these efforts:

Observation Home & Government Protection Home Activities
Special programs were conducted for children in Trichy Observation Home and Thattaparai Government Children’s Home, including:
- Counseling and De-addiction Animation
- Social Media Awareness Programs
- Festive Celebrations (Christmas & Republic Day)
- Vocational Training (Tailoring, Aari Work, and Mobile Service Training)
These initiatives aimed at skill development, emotional well-being, and career readiness for children in need of protection and care.
Training Programs
Several skill development and employability training sessions were conducted:
- Employability Skill Training: 3 programs, 330 participants
- Data Camp: 2 programs, 39 participants
- Tailoring & Aari Work Training at Govt. Protection Home
These programs helped participants gain hands-on experience and improve their employability in various industries.
Institution Campus Drives
Several campus placement drives were conducted in collaboration with educational institutions. One such event took place at Bishop Thorp College, Dharapuram on 13th Feb 2025. Companies participated actively in these drives, providing employment opportunities to students.
