The Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) provide technical and vocational education to empower young people, especially the underprivileged. Rooted in Don Bosco’s Preventive System (Reason, Religion, Loving-Kindness), their education model blends practical skills, moral values, and holistic development.

Technical Education Activity Report

The Technical Commission of Don Bosco ITI, covering AMSAM, LALGUDI, and MADURAI campuses, carried out a wide range of initiatives in 2024–2025, focusing on the holistic development of students. Activities were structured around four key dimensions of Salesian Youth Ministry: Vocational Guidance, Cultural Education, Faith Formation, and Social Responsibility.

Vocational Guidance

1. Campus Interviews: Conducted in June–July 2024, leading to job placements for 150 students.
2. Freshers’ Course: Supported 250 new students in understanding their trades.
3. Industrial Visits: Trips to Bangalore and other cities gave students vital industry exposure.
4. Leadership Participation: Institutional leaders attended meetings like the Principal’s Meet, DBTECH, and SKIP, expanding student opportunities.

Cultural and Educational Programs

1. Festivals Celebrated: Ayudha Pooja, Pongal, and Christmas promoted cultural awareness and unity.
2. Student Engagement: Sports tournaments and skill-based seminars enriched personal growth.
3. Tech Expo: Scheduled for January 2026 to showcase student talent.

Faith and Spiritual Growth

1. Spiritual Events: Don Bosco Feast, Carol Competitions, and Christmas Mass fostered community, gratitude, and faith.

Health and Social Awareness
